Kawartha Door Specialists
Our way of working
A lot of our work is preventive, and we like it that way. A yearly look at a garage door, with the balance tested, the hardware tightened, the rollers and hinges lubricated and the safety sensors checked, keeps small wear from turning into a snapped spring on a cold morning.
We keep track of each door we maintain and remind households when the season for a visit comes around. When a repair is needed anyway, we handle it with the same care. The aim is a door that simply works, year after year, without much thought from the people who use it.

Balanced, quiet and ready for winter.
Doors without openers still need to lock securely. We repair slide bolts, T-handle locks and the bars that engage the track, align them so they seat without forcing, and replace worn cylinders. For doors that do have an opener, we make sure any old manual lock is disabled so it cannot jam the door mid-travel.
A garage door belongs to the architecture. Its movement belongs to your everyday life. We bring both into the conversation.

- Real explanations. Every recommendation comes with the reason behind it, in words that make sense to someone who has never opened an opener.
- Care in your space. We work around bikes, tools and vehicles carefully, protect what needs protecting, and leave the garage clean.
- No pushing. You hear the choices once, clearly. Whether to go ahead, wait or take a different route is yours to decide.
How a visit goes
Describe the property, the hardware and what has changed, and the visit starts from what you have seen.
01
Tell us what changed
Doors rarely fail without a hint. If it got louder, slower or heavier before it stopped, say so; that history steers the diagnosis.
02
Looking at the whole system
The spring system, the tracks and the opener are checked as one machine, because a fault in one part often starts in another.
03
The repair, then the test
New parts fitted, tension set, sensors aligned. The door then runs through several complete cycles before we consider the job finished.
